Hope Renovations

Hope Renovations mission is to inspire hope in women and older adults for a joyful and fulfilling future. They do this by empowering women to pursue living-wage jobs in the construction trades via a hands-on training program that teaches folks the basics of construction knowledge as well as professional skills training, while the construction program provides repairs and renovations that enable older adults and those with disabilities to stay in their homes.

Hope Renovations envision a world where all women can support their families, and seniors can stay in their homes their whole lives. Core values they operate by are working with a purpose, treating all people with respect, act with confidence, take every chance to try something new, and be honest. Their training program enrolls women and non-binary individuals all over the Triangle and the construction program services Durham, Orange, and Chatham counties.

Hope Renovations has been receiving national spotlight because of their program. The following video showcases a homeowner they worked with in the construction program as well as multiple graduates of the training program: https://www.cnn.com/2022/05/19/us/jobs-women-north-carolina-construction-cnnheroes/index.html

Hope Renovations has a goal to increase its reach and to serve more trainees in other areas while raising more money to be able to complete more free/reduced-cost projects for folks who cannot afford critical home repairs. The easiest way to support Hope Renovations is to donate money or purchase items off of their wish list of tools and materials. Questions?
